Why Education Matters

Horse nutrition advice is available from many sources, but not all advice is backed by formal education in equine nutrition.

My recommendations are based on:

  • A Bachelor of Science (Honours)

  • Masters of Equine Science Specializing in Equine Nutrition– In Progress Final Year

  • Equine Nutrition Advisor 1&II certifications

  • Certified NFTA Hay Sampler

  • Ongoing continuing education and professional development

Every nutrition programs includes a comprehensive evaluation of forage, feed, supplements, management, workload, body condition, and health history. Recommendations are based on current research and the individual horse's needs—not product sales or one-size-fits-all feeding approaches.

My goal is not only to provide recommendations, but to help owners understand the "why" behind them so they can make informed decisions for their horses.

Whether your goal is improved performance, addressing a nutrition-related health concern, or simply helping your horse feel their best, I take a thoughtful, individualized approach. I work closely with both the horse and the owner to streamline diets, reduce unnecessary products and costs, and focus only on what your horse truly needs. Every plan is designed to be balanced, effective, and realistic — supporting both the horse’s wellbeing and the owner's goals.
