For horses with medical conditions or complex needs, such as metabolic disease (EMS, PPID), laminitis, gastric ulcers, muscle disorders, chronic weight loss, or recovery from illness or surgery.

Everything in the 30-Day Program, plus:

• Review of veterinary records, bloodwork, current diet, and supplements

• Collaboration with your veterinarian, with written updates sent to them

• Extra time for case research and plan development

Veterinarians are welcome to refer patients directly.

A focused session for horse owners who have a specific question or need a one-time nutrition check. I'll review your horse's current diet and provide clear, actionable recommendations by email.

Includes:

Not available for certain nutrition concerns or health conditions — these require the full 30-Day Program to properly assess and support. I'll let you know if that's the case for your horse.

Need more ongoing support after your consult? You can upgrade to the 30-Day Program at the time of your session.

Makaila is a certified hay sampler through the National Forage Testing Association (NFTA) and offers on-farm hay collection using a hay probe. Samples are submitted to an NFTA-certified laboratory to ensure accurate, reliable analysis.

Includes:

• On-farm hay collection using a hay probe

• Sample submitted to an NFTA-certified lab

• Written report of results in an easy-to-read format, so you know what the numbers actually mean

Hay testing can be booked as a standalone service or included as part of the 30-Day Nutrition Program at a discounted price.

$150 per sample (1–3 samples)

Already have your own hay analysis from another lab or a previous test? I'll interpret the results and tell you what they actually mean for your horse.

Ongoing support for horses who need continued monitoring and adjustments beyond a 30-day program — ideal for complex, metabolic, or performance cases, or clients who've completed a program and want to keep progress on track.

Includes:

• Bi-weekly check-ins and ongoing email support

• Diet adjustments as needs change

• Continued progress tracking

Required for more complex or medically sensitive cases needing ongoing oversight.

A one-time reassessment for existing clients — a quick review of your horse's current condition and diet, similar to a periodic maintenance check.

Includes:

• Review of current feeding program and body condition

• Minor adjustments as needed

• Brief written summary

One-time only — no ongoing support included. For continued support or complex cases, see Ongoing Monthly Support.

For performance barns, sales barns, lesson programs, rescues, and other operations managing multiple horses at once. I streamline feeding across the barn — including sourcing forage options that work well for the whole herd — while still tailoring recommendations for any individual horses that need extra attention.

Includes:

• On-site or virtual review of your herd's current feeding program

• Optional forage sourcing guidance suited to the whole barn

• Tailored recommendations for horses with individual needs

• Practical, consistent management that's easy to maintain day to day

Referral credit applies once the referred client's program is paid. One discount per new client; can't be combined with other offers. One $25 credit per booking; credits expire after 12 months. This program may change or end at any time.
