Working with Veterinarians

Nutrition plays an important role in managing many of the conditions veterinarians see every day. I work alongside veterinarians to provide individualized nutritional support that complements their diagnosis and treatment plan, helping clients put practical, balanced feeding strategies in place.

You diagnose and manage the medical condition. I assess the horse’s nutritional needs and develop a tailored diet to support their overall health and specific needs, keeping you informed throughout the process. Any medical concerns outside my scope are referred back to you.

As an independent equine nutrition consultant, I am not affiliated with any feed or supplement company. My recommendations are based on the most up-to-date equine nutrition research and the individual horse’s needs, available forage and feed options, management, and owner budget.
